2001 Ingition keys

I lost my only ingnition key for my 2001. Mazda has DISCONTINUED it. My dealer parts dept say it is not available, period! I have a door key, but of course it doesn't start. Any ideas beside to sell it for parts?

Welcome to the forum. I would think a good Locksmith could provide a fix for you........without having to scrap the vehicle!

Thanks. Apparently. Mazda has discontinued both the keys and the ignition, so there is no way to replace the ignition locking mechanism because a used one wouldn't match the ECM. Thanks for the thought.
