I'm deciding between buying a1997 Miata and a 2000. I know the main mechanical differences (horsepower, wheels, headlights, rear window plastic v glass), but wonder if anyone has an opinion about which series they like better and why. Which version do you like better? Why? For example, is the glass window better than the plastic, or simply heavier and noisier and more expensive to replace? Is the 1990-1998 model better than than the 1999-2005 version?
