As Jaimie eluded, since a major software upgrade here, there have been a few "issues" that I am having a lot of trouble getting resolved.
Avatars and Signatures are two of the worst and most commonly asked about.
As with Vince and a few other members, I can install an avatar for you. Send me (PM) a link to the picture you want to use and I can go deeper in to your profile than you currently have access to and add it.
I can also add a picture link in your signature, but it will stay a link to the host site. I believe you have the ability to modify, add, change any sig text though.
Let me, or one of the other Mods here know if you need help with ANYTHING on the site. We will be glad to "make it so" if we can.
A list of currently active Moderators in no particular order is:

and of course yours truly, me, virgin1 - Richard.
To contact us, you can right click on our user name in any post listing. One of the optionss is send a PM to this member. With my post-count rapidly approaching 6300 as I write this, I am probably the easiest one to find, but the others will be just as helpful. They are ALL good guys.
If you wish to send the PM to more than one person or Mod at a time, simply begin typing in their user name and a list of members using those letters will pop up after 4 letters, IIRC.

I am sorry to inform you that since the software upgrade over 2yrs ago now, a Mod has to do that for you. I have asked the powers that be over and over again to look into the issue but have been ignored.
Please host your avatar on fliker, photobucket, etc and send the link to one/all of us.
Tracker, icspots, mazmart trini, wsoape281 or me. We will be happy to install your "reasonable" avatar for you. Remember, no **** or bad taste please. We are a car forum after all, not a **** site.
However, and again I apologize for all of us, for some reason even we cannot install a sig pic for you.

I just discovered when doing lnwlf's avatar that our system here now modifies the http:// link and it will not work that way. It did not used to work this way.
I am guessing the powers that be are working to eliminate SPAM and SPAMMERs by adding more aggressive anti-SPAM software that makes it harder on us regular people too?
For all Members and Moderators, send us the link to the hosted picture/album site you want installed so that we might get the full and correct link to install your avatars.
