Default Why my advanced key is not working?

Hi, I have a 2013 CX-9. I noticed that after I turn on the engine, and walk outside of the car, carry the key with me and close all doors. I can no longer use the remote to open the liftgate. Is there anything I can do to change this? Thank you!

Is it a electric opening boot? Does the button on the boot work?

sorry, i don't understand what "electronic opening boot" is and what "button" you are referring to. All I know is under that situation, I can only manually open the liftgate and not by the remote.

Did you previously press a button on either your remote or boot/tailgate & the boot/tailgate automatically opens itself & closes if pressed again?

How about posting a photo of your remote?

No, I didn't press any button on the remote. I have attached a picture of my remote to this message. What happens is when I carry the key with me and step outside the car when the engine is running, I can no longer use the remote to do anything, e.g., open the liftgate, unlock the doors. Is there any way to change that?

I believe it is intentional that the remote does not work once you start the car. The remote for my 2015 Mazda3 works perfectly when the car is not running but does not work when the engine is running as well. I assume this is to avoid problems with accidental opening of the trunk by the remote when it is in your pocket and you are driving and so on. It makes it harder to lock the car when it is warming up and I am going back for a second cup of coffee, however, I shouldn't be doing that anyway.

Now if they can only find a way to make the remote not work when the keys are in my pocket and I am playing with the dog. I hate it when I find that the trunk has been open for hours.

When the ignition is on, or the engine is running the remote is disabled to prevent careless people from locking the car & walking away, preventing flat batteries or fuel wastage.

Does the release button on the trunk/boot/tailgate still work when the engine is running & doors are shut?
