I’m considering trading my CX-7 for a 2012 CX-9 with 103k miles. What are the common factors to look out for and consider before picking on up? I know about the internal water pump. I assume there’s no early warning signs of failure.
What else should I look for in service records or warning signs?

Brake booster failure.
Window motor failure.
PTO ( transfercase ) failure - often leading to transmission failure.
