TSB 01-010/24 ,I am curious about the diagnosis process and how/what is involved in the repair. Not that I am wanting to do it myself, just interested. What needs to be loosened versus what gets disconnected electrically as well as mechanical and if there is a routine process that all Mazda Dealerships use. Any information would be appreciated.

 

As the TSB states it is a Mazda dealerships service department that should perform any TSB

Or you could download a complete Mazda Factory service manual for you specific Mazda

TSB generally do not state all the information except to state a preservice or parts removal area to get to the actual TSB service-related area. So the experience mechanic or technician will either know or look into the various areas of service before performing the actual TSB service.

In this case if you are asking you should not be the one to do the service!

Ok I understand that but you picked a TSB that requires some specialized tools and some removal of parts to actually perform the TSB. So, my best advice is to get a factory Service manual and "learn" all that is needed to do to perform that TSB. You will also need to compile a list of the parts not only to service the TSB but possible parts that may or will need to be replaced during that TSB service.
This will only be able to do by reading a service manual and assembling most all the necessary parts. In this specific TSB service, you are likely going to find more parts needing replacing then is listed due to breakage R&R or just were based on the age miles and condition of the parts.

When I get hand a TSB like this from a customer, I explain that the parts replacement list cannot be estimated and as we perform the TSB, we may contact you with updated parts or other serving that will need or required done to complete the TSB service.


You can't learn a how-to TSB of that type on any Mazda forum. here are just to many variables. And to what end? As you stated you not going to do the service yourself?
