Replacement key fob
Greetings! I'd like to get an additional key fob for my 2020 CX-9 but without paying dealership prices. Are there reliable third-party options for purchasing one and what is the process for programming the key? I'd appreciate any and all advice
Thanks!

Thanks!

I just bought one from Tom's Key Company online, and so far, so good. They cut a key from a picture, and it works well. You have order the programmer also, but you get the deposit back when you return it.
The reason I purchased the new fob to begin with is that I lost the old one. A couple of years ago, I had locked my keys in the car, prompting me to have an emergency key made in case it ever happened again. This key was poorly cut, the locksmith informed me, but at least it got me in the car. It just wouldn't start it.
Fast forward to the present problem. I did try to start the car with the emergency key, and it turned the ignition switch slightly, but no further. I didn't wanna chance creating a bigger problem. The locksmith made a new chip key, and it works just fine, but now the car beeps constantly when I open the door--even though the key is not in the ignition. The beeping stops when I close the door.
Now what?
