Default Mirror Defog fuse not powered

Hi everyone, I have a 2019 CX-9 Touring and I'm trying to hardwire a dash cam. I was trying to use the Mirror Defog fuse spot for the ACC fuse tap until I discovered that that spot isn't receiving power. I swapped fuses with another location and determined the fuse is good. Using a multimeter, I tested the socket with the power on, and discovered it is not receiving power at all. Every other socket is fine. Does anyone know why that might be? Going to call Mazda tomorrow to ask them. Due to the design of the fuse tap I can't use any other fuse socket for the ACC tap so I'm pretty frustrated.

Welcome tot he forum
What tap is your component? Can you post a picture. You can get a tap that will work with even the odd one you have very inexpensive on Amazon.

Try Testing the Mirror defrost circuit with the engine on!

Its possible the heated mirror fuse isn't powered unless the rear demister is activated/turned on.

It does work! I guess you have to turn the window/mirror defog on for the fuse to get power. I would not have guessed that! Thanks for the help!
