Hi, I've been having a humming noise that was getting louder, but now, for the last 3 months it's not getting worse, just the same. At first I thought it was the bearings as I've had this issue with previous cars, so I looked for the typical:
- did it get worse on turns? No
- Does it get louder the faster you go, not exactly, it sounds pretty much the same even at low speeds
- Is there vibrating? No, not at all
- When I jack it, do I hear a noise when spinning the wheel? No
- When I jack it, do I see any play? no
- Do I have uneven wear? YES, I did, so I replaced the tires 8 months ago along with a balance and wheel alignment. Since then the noise stopped getting worse and since then the uneven wear has stopped. It is now wearing evenly.
- How are my brakes? they needed to be replaced, so i replaced the discs and pads yesterday.

Still, the noise is there. I'm at 52K miles and I was trying to avoid taking it to the dealer. Looking for some help here.
