Default How to check the transmission fluid level on 2012 cx9sport

Hi
For this question I must beg forgiveness. I am at a loss. I was doing some routine maintenance on my 2012 cx9 sport fwd and was looking to check the level of the transmission fluid, but for the life of me I could not find the dipstick. I finally resorted to the manual and found no reference to it at all. Am I going crazy or is the fluid level not something that needs regular checks?

Take a breath, relax. You can't find it because the standard dipstick and tube for the transmission because it is not there. The transmission is considered sealed and no need for the regular fluid level check.

Depending on the year of your vehicle, if its FWD or AWD, possibly where in the world the trans was built there is a fill bung, & the drain bung incorporates a "check tube" for checking the fluid level.

ATF needs to be at full operating temp 1st. ( Decent drive )
