Default Fixing CX-9 Infotainment Control Wheel/Trim

I'm the proud new owner of a 2016 CX-9 with the premium package and we're loving it so far, but we're fixing a few small issues with the car which include the infotainment control wheel that won't stay in place. A slight press down on it and it collapses into the console. You can pull it up and click it back into place, but it appears to only be clicking into one side and isn't secure. Here's the part number for the control wheel: KA0G-66-CM0 and a link to some images I found on eBay.

Further investigation shows that it seems to be the trim piece that it clicks into that is broken and not the wheel itself (I think). I took a picture and you can kind of see where the plastic is broken.

Can anyone point me to any guides for taking apart the console/trim around the shifter/control wheel? The plastic trim piece the control wheel clips into only seems to only be available for purchase as part of this set and the price seems ludicrous for a piece of plastic. This set runs $2k+ for the signature. Glad I got a touring......

If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated! Excited to be a part of the community!
