My door ajar light is on in my 2012 cx-9. I can't lock my doors from the outside.

How do I tell which door is the problem and how do I fix it.

Take it to Mazda. Their diagnostic computer can monitor each door lock & each door ajar switch.

 

nearest dealer is 1.5 hours away

The beeping is coming from the liftgate so I believe that is where the problem is. The rear bumper was just off while some body work was being done, are there any connectors around that area?
