cx 9 2010 vs 2011
Mazda dealer is offering me a discount on 2010 (touring model)
1. 3 years (or 60,000 km) free service (oil change etc)
2. $2,600 discount over 2011 touring model
3. vcool tinted glass free
4. only white and black colors are available for 2010
As per him, the only difference between 2010 and 2011 touring model are tyre rims design. So why to pay extra 2,600 plus also pay for services charges for every visit at 5,000 km
Question:
1. should i take the offer?
2. is it true the only difference are alloy wheels design?
3. i heard in 2011 there is blind spot detection, but perhaps this is an option even in 2011, perhaps i could buy it for 2010 also as an accessory?
4. any reasons why i should not go for 2010 but buy 2011?
cheers

RE:2010 or 2011
Dealer here in Atlanta is offering $5k off sticker on all 2010's. I wanted to lease so the better way for me to go was with a 2011.There is not any difference except for the GT wheels. I kinda like the 2010 GT wheel better.
It did seem that all of the leftover 2010's had the roof rack and the 2011 did not. By the way I test drove and considered the Grand Cherokee,Volvo X60,GMC Arcadia,Ford Edge,Nissan Marano one WV and even the BMW X5.All were 2011 models.
Nothing compared to the styling, ride comfort, interior room or option packages of the CX-9. I am an extremely happy CX-9 owner.
The blind spot option Is also available on the 2010.I believe it is part of the Grand Touring Package. It is not available as an accessory.
Which ever way you go you can't go wrong but if you are going to purchase a CX-9 the 2010 would be the better deal.

Last month I got $4,000 off my 2010 GT plus 0% for 60mo. Your dealer should be willing to do at least $3000 and 0% for 60 on a 2011 Touring with a few options---they probably won't give you the free oil changes though. I just wouldn't be able to handle the new wheel design (what was Mazda thinking)
