Hello,

I have a 2009 Mazda CX9 with 57,000 m.

The ABS, TCS, and the little car light are ON.

I took the car to the dealer and told me that the ABS module/pump needs to be replaced and it is $1350 = part and labor.

I went to a friend and he scanned the code is - C1096 ABS hydraulic pump motor circuit open.

1- Do I have to replace the pump or what could it be something else?
2- If I have to replace it, is it easy to replace it? and how?
3- Where can I buy it used?

It is usually the abs module bolted to the hydraulic unit. There are a lot of companies that repair them. Usually 80-200 bucks. Do a google search of your abs module/vehicle within an abs module repair search. It is generally very easy to replace and once off the vehicle reverts to normal braking while you wait for your unit to be repaired and sent back to you.
