Excellent choice on brake pads! I try to use Akebono myself whenever available. On Akebono's website, they only show available products for a 2017 CX-9 - which as far as I know, is identical to succeeding model years in terms of brake parts. Unless there are changes we're not aware of - unlikely - the ACT1258 should be good.
Heard good things about them. However, I'm not sure that, in terms of longevity (if that's a concern) any can beat the OEMs. My wife has driven her '14 for 71K and, so help me, she actually speeds up for red lights. I had it in for new tires and inquired about the brakes. The tech told me there was still almost half the life left on the pads. I figured they aren't really into doing brake jobs, but he showed me the pads. Are the OEM's special in that way?
