2016+ CX9 front strut options?
Beez,
I feel your pain. I don't need replacements right now but it's good to know what's out there and for how much. I too have NOT seen anything, anywhere outside of FCS and OEM. I've always used KYB as a replacement but for the CX-9, they only have the rear. Go figure.

I have posted this so often I should just make a thread about how to find parts.
#1. Get off the internet and use your phone. Contact the Manufactures or the authorized distributors using the manufactures parts guides.
Thats it simple!
Often even with some manufactures that updates are not implemented for application information. Almost always if it is not from the manufacture or marketer of the manufacture then it is a generic parts finder or application guide that they ALL are full of mistakes and very few of the most current updates.
How many of you went to a parts store that they used the computer and internet guides part look up program and bought a part got home and it was wrong?
How often in my life I read from people that damn parts guy/gal sold me the wrong part!
At least when the parts were looked up in catalogs provided directly from the marketing service or manufactures many were checked by an ASE prior to printing. Then the reason many got wrong parts was because you all gave the incorrect information about your vehicle but still blamed the parts person selling you the parts? lol
Another thing for advanced DIY, many parts are interchangeable but may not or never will be listed to fit your vehicle. This means you must do a little work and find the OE specification or get them yourself and then go to a manufactures website and look up the parts specifications. Like having to do with dampeners.
As one direct example relating to Mazda . KYB does not list or directly make Gas-adjust HI pressure performance dampeners for the rear of my Mazda. Yest in doing the research I did find a part number that fits, and IMHO should be listed as an alternative. But because the end customer may find them to firm, they do not list and have told me will not list them as an optional choice. This method can also be done for front strut dampeners as well.
Good luck with you suspension parts finding!
