Default 2015 CX9 AWD Gr Touring Need new Tires

2015 Factory install is 245/50/20.
2016 shows Factory install 255/50/20.
Any reason I shouldn't use the 255/50/20 as they are quite a bit cheaper. This would be a 4 tire purchase.
I have 106,000 miles on the vehicle.
Thanks

At 60 mph, the 255/50/20 will be travelling about 1.3% slower than the 245/50/20, not a huge difference but still ok.

If you have the original oem wheels, they should be 7.5" wide. In 2016 Mazda went with wider wheels, 8 and 8.5 inches, thus the wider 255 tire. Most tire charts indicate a 255 tire is too wide for a 7.5 inch wheel. I'd suggest checking with Tire Rack to confirm before you buy a bigger tire.

Default Tires

Thanks for the info. I've decided to stick with 2015 OEM 245/50/20.
