We have a 2010 CX9 and the Sirius module died. Bought a new OEM module but can't figure out where it is located in the vehicle.
Pulled out the radio and it is not behind the radio. It is also not under the driver side dash or passenger side dash.

 

Check trunk, you need to remove trunk box.

 

Thanks for the picture. It was in the trunk like you posted.
When I swapped it out with a new OEM Sirius module the radio does not show it as connected / grayed out on the radio display.
Do you know if I have to take it to a Mazda dealer to get the new Sirius "keyed / programmed" specific to the vehicle?

 

Disconnect negative battery terminal for a few minutes and allow unit get recognized by AUDIO system if it's no longer grayed and able to connect to satellite get ESN from unit and call XM RADIO to update your information.
