upon going through a car wash with the AUTO hold off at the exit going from neutral to drive giving it gas and the brakes lock up. I think it’s part of the anti-rollaway function.. so I have to put the car in Park turn off the engine put it back in drive and then drive off hoping the car behind me doesn’t rear in me

 

Can someone please explain how to use the automatic car wash with this car? Starting with a neutral hold seems simple, but it turns off the engine, and then restarting the engine is impossible without putting the shifter back to "P". I don't want to go through the automatic car wash and end up stranded at the end of the conveyor belt.

 

Haven’t had this issue yet so glad to be made aware of it. Would turning off I-stop rectify this? Just wondering.

 

I never use car washes due to damage to the paint potentially. I always wash my cars manually or go to a car wash that is self controlled. I dry my car too.

 

Doesn’t the idle stop button keep the car running?

 

Same here, went thru a carwash in neutral and car wouldn't go. Thank goodness the attendants stopped the line as the car behind almost hit us. Putting in park and restarting the car is stupid, so help us with the right process.

 

I just used one of these car washes. Push the i-stop disable button before you go in. I think it’s located on left side lower dash. It takes care of this !!!
