Starting Issues 2011 CX-7
I have a 2011 CX-7 2.5L with 178,xxx miles. Spark plugs and injectors changed 15k miles ago, air filter about a year ago. Battery is 4 years old and has been tested. No CEL or codes
I am having starting issues under specific circumstances:
If I let the car sit for a few hours with an ambient temperature above 85F and the AC on (doesn't matter if its 1 or 4) the car will not start, only crank. I will cycle the key 3 times and try again (with AC on) and will either not start or barely fire up.
I have tried the same sequence but before I cycle the key I turn the AC off and it will start.
Below 85F with or with out the AC on it will start no problem.
Engine will be at operating temp and will start up no problem with or with out the AC on
Parking up hill or down hill makes no difference (My truck loses prime parked uphill so decided to test the theory)
The car runs and idles just fine, I don't know if this is a fuel pump related issue or some type of temperature sensor. I would be able to start it with or without the AC on in 100F+ ambient temperature so its a weird relation. My scan tool is pretty decent and can check just about every sensor on the car but I cannot see the fuel pressure readings. This issue started before the injectors and spark plugs were replaced, I've been trying to chase down this issue for a while.
