Default Mazda CX-7 A/C compressor

Just replaced a/c compressor. Lasted about 1 day now has stopped working. Same as the old one, just going along and it quit. Fuses are good, clutch just doesn't want to pull in. Any ideas?

Clutch won't kick in. How do I jump it so that the clutch will kick in and pull in more freon?

The correct way to add gas is to recover the system, create a vacuum and add the prescribed amount of gas. This is done via a dedicated HVAC machine.

More than likely your problem is the gas is too low and the pressure switch prevents the compressor clutch engaging and damaging the compressor.

They don't sell recharge canisters in New Zealand or Australia so I have no experience with "Back yard" AC charging.

I have a vacuum pump and gauges and vacuumed the system after installing the new compressor. I will do it again if I get the chance today. Stormy weekend here in western Kentucky, USA.
