It was $1700 installed...

By local audio and auto security shop.

Did have the control unit start making noise in the sound track when the second DVD was fired up.
Took it back and they debugged and replaced the control unit at no charge and no hassle.

So far its has worked out great

I'm so interested in this system... thinking of one for a cx-9 in the works... the only way to have dvd w/the moonroof package is this way:

1) how did you find out about them...
2) how is the sound/vibration for you ( the driver )
3) how long did it take to be installe?

I drove my car to a number of aftermarket shops after waiting 6 months for Mazda to get their act together and have a factory DVD made available.

I checked all the options on how the various audio shops offered and chose the Rosen options as they had headrest sets that fit our car and that they had a much better reputation for support than many of the other brands out there.

These are a bit more expensive than a single screen in the middle. But as I have a 10 year old Daughter and a 17 year old Son their tastes in movies are polar opposites so the single screen options posed more problems than it solved. These also have built in games and wireless game controllers and remote controls for each unit.

So they can both watch a movie played on either DVD headrest, they can watch different movies, both can play different games or on can watch a movie while the other plays games.

The wireless feed into the Bose system works fantastic with ear splitting sound if you let the kids set the volume...

I am totally pleased with how clean the installation is and how these function.

The only down side is the increased cost.

The systems are extremely quite. If parked with the engine off I can barely hear a slight noise. But basic wind and road noise is way more than this noise. I do not even notice it when driving.

It took 1 day to install.
