Default CX7 air con woes

Hi everyone I have owned my CX7 for just over a year, it has been trouble free until last month when I started getting an awful grinding noise on inspection I started to notice smoke emanating from the Polly on the air con pump. Having made enquiries it’s been recommended to replace said item, now this is where I’m struggling. The car was imported into the UK from North America so its left hand drive. Now I contacted a Mazda dealership in the UK and was advised the replacement pump £645.81 +vat and delivery was approximately 1 month. I was quoted part number EG2161450G my question is can a UK spec pump be used ? I have been speaking to a generic parts supplier who is unable to confirm this. Any advice.
