Just purchased a pre-owned 2012 Mazda CX-7 and I'm looking to upgrade the stereo system. I've searched and searched for a good wiring diagram for this model, but havent had much luck. Some websites out there list the colors and uses of the wires, but nothing looks too official or believable.

Is there a manual/diagram/worksheet that delineates what color wire does what, coming out of the back of the stereo?

Just buy the adapter loom that plugs into your standard stereo loom and a second loom that plugs into the aftermarket stereo of your choice, ie Sony, Pioneer, JVC, Kenwood etc.

I was meaning to keep the factory stereo with BT and everything in place. I'm just looking to tap the factory wiring, and run this to an AudioControl L2CI so therefore an aftermarket harness wouldnt really have a place in this setup. Anyone else know where to find documentation for a 2012 Mazda CX7? preferably a factory radio wiring diagram?

 

Where in the world are you?

Is it standard or bose model stereo?
2.3 or 2.5 engine?

 

Texas in the US. It's the 2.5 with the non-Bose stereo.

just buy a good aftermarket stereo special for your model.there is no need to worry about it . just as it is especial for your car model. you can check Mazda CX-7 Android Car DVD Player with GPS Navigation Wifi 3G to look whether it fits for yours
