Default 2011 CX-7 Sport MPG issues

Over the past few months my cx-7 MPG has been slipping. Most of my miles are via highway with cruise on and my mpg is constantly between 18-22, whereas it used to be 25-28. I've changed the spark plugs and oil. Any advice?

is it the turbo 2.3 or non turbo 2.5 engine? FWD or AWD?

When did it last go to Mazda for software updates? Has it been scanned for codes, & live data inspected?

Default Same mpg concerns

I’m wondering how you are doing with this issue. I am averaging 20 MPG with my 2011 with 2.5 liter and FWD. I about split my time on highway and city streets. Seems to perform well. It is winter and I’m running Blizzaks but it wasn’t much better in this fall with OEM tires when we bought the car used. About 90,000 miles. Any suggestions for what tests to run and why?

I'm having the same issue with my 2.5. Did you ever solve it?

No codes, but I have no idea when the last software update was. I have my own scanner so I can monitor live data and codes. What should I be looking for?

Once the engine is fully warmed up after a good drive,

Short & long term fuel trims
A/F & O2 sensors
