Swap Cylinder 1 spark plug with Cylinder 3, see if the miss fire moves. Swap cylinder 1 coil with cylinder 2, see if the miss fire moves.
I don't recall seeing a CX-7 with HT leads/ wires.
What engine do you have?
The turbo engine suffers from carbon build up on the valves as well as the injectors.
