Default 2007 Mazda cx7 won't idle and dies if foot not on gas

my mazda has about 139,000 miles on it and won't idle or stay running unless I have my foot on the gas. I have had the p0200 random misfire p2177, p 2178 system too lean off idle bank 1 along with p0140 O2 Circuit no activity detected (bank 1, sensor2), p2404 evaporative system leak detections pump control circuit high, p0012 intake camshaft postion timing-over retarded bak1 and p0193 fuel rail pressure sensor high input. My car runs fine when foot on the gas but now it dies when I stop or take foot off the gas pedal. Thinking of replacing the fuel pump to correct the p019 fuel rail pressure sensor/fuel filter but not sure if that is the right thing to do with all these codes. I recently replace my purge sensor valve and the car seem to idle better but then after driving it up a canyon it started dying when stopping. Replace the purge sensor again thinking maybe it was defective but still having the same problem. changed the spark plugs, oil and filter and added sea foam to the gas. If anyone has ideas on how to figure out this issue please share.

I would start with O2 sensor no activity. that sensor is critical for air fuel mixture. Pull it and youtube how to test. other problems may be related to that. Fuel pressure too high sounds like the regulator is not releasing pressure causing evap issues.

Turn head lights on , disconnect the battery contact the positive a negitive cables togeather , walk away from the car for 20 mins this will reset the ecu and clear codes restart it , low pressure fuel is around 70 psi supply from tank pump and filter, high side is anywhere from 600psi at idle to 1250psi at 2000rpm , usally found return pressure regulator on fuel rail is kept open by a peice of varnish, twice a year I run 1.5 lts of kerosene and 2 lts of metho in a tank of fuel,

The car sounds like it is suffering from air in the fuel line. This is common when running the car has been running on empty multiple times over time or just replacing the fuel pump. Lucky this issue can be fixed simply bleeding the fuel line.
  • Remove the engine cover
  • Then remove the turbo air cooler
  • To the right next to the camshaft position sensor you see a HPFP (High Pressure Fuel Pump)
  • The fuel input hose will have blue square lock clip and the output has a squared chartreuse or neon yellow lock clip.
  • Use a small pick or screw driver to help you slightly move the lock to open. Have some towels or paper towels wrapped around the pipe to catch the excess fuel.
  • Slowly pulling the hose loose you will hear a lot of air hissing from the line.
  • As you hold the hose in half way hold it firmly as you get another person to turn the cars power ON but do not start the engine.
  • This allows the pump to push all the air out of the line.
  • Pull the hose off slowly until you don't hear air.
  • The HPFP will apply a lot of pressure so do make sure to hose firmly.
  • Repeat this 4 times.
  • Cleanup any excess fuel that may have leaked onto the engine crevices To avoid any fires
  • Place the hose back on and lock clip.
  • Put back the turbo air cooler back on
  • Start the car. This should resolve your issue.
  • This will also improve the mpg of your vehicle.

If you think it is a faulty spark plug or ignition coil move the ignition coil over to another cylinder it may take time for the ECU to register the faulty coil is now on a new cylinder. If this is the case replace your ignition coil. But from the symptoms you are having is more likely the first suggestion explained above.

Hope this helps those. 😁
