Default Ultra Gauge EM Plus v1.4 vs. Ultra Gauge MX v1.4

Went to the Ultra Gauge Product Website. There is an Ultra Gauge EM Plus and an Ultra Gauge MX.

The EM is the default model (according to manufacturer) but has certain readiness and performance functions that are not on the MX.

The MX supposedly has more capabilities in reading Manufacturer specific information that is non-std required stuff.

I don't plan on doing my own programming or any such thing. Would any of you Gurus be able to recommend which way to go?

I also note that in the list of compatible vehicles, the latest Mazda CX-5 that shows up is 2018. I would imagine this is not a problem (I have a 2021),

but any opinion on this? Is it a problem?

Thanks so much, Reuben

EM.

The UG has not simply updated their website. The Skyactiv ECU has not changed even up to 2022 MAZDAs for USA market.
I should add although some MAZDA are CAN protocol it does not play well with nonprofessional Diagnosis connector devise including blue tooth and wifi that are not specifically set up for MAZDA CAN-bus.
