Default TPMS 2014 vs 2020

Have winter tires from our 2014 CX5 and put them on our 2020 CX5. Of course the TPMS light comes on. Is the sensor from the 2014 wheels compatible with the 2020 TPMS?

A change in sensors usually requires a re-program for computer to
accept the readings from TPMS.

I may be wrong but I don't think that the 2014 has the type of TPMS that has individual sensors in each wheel. That model year has the ABS based system and is not compatible with the 2020's system that has sensors in each wheel.
