Default Sync Average and Trip A

Hello I'm a proud owner of a 2018 CX5, did have a mazda truck years ago but just love the CX5. I love to keep up with my fuel millage, getting 33 to 35 so happy, almost 5000 miles on trip B with a average of 34.
I would like to have my Average Fuel economy History displayed on the Monitor, Current through last 6 fill ups but can't get it to work. Think I need to sync trip A and the monitor on the dash but it will not let me choose Sync Average and Trip A, its grayed out. Any ideas why it will not let me choose this?

You can reset factory, then reset average trip A and trip B. Good luck.

Wasn't aware that there is an option like that. Maybe it's grayed out when you are stopped. Some menu items are not available when the engine is off.
