Share your thoughts on Sport Mode - 2016 CX-5

Manual and Sport mode?
A couple people said they use Sport Mode with the Manual shift mode. Not sure I understand this. If I'm in manual mode I determine when the shift happens. How would Sport Mode have any affect?

Sport mode also alters throttle mapping (makes for pore aggressive throttle response). I'm not sure this would hold true when then used in conjunction with manual mode, but then I don't have that feature on my 2013 and I haven't driven a later model...

Sport mode also changes throttle response and gear change timing...hence using both will give you a bit better response.
