Default Replacing engine mounts 2018 CX5 70k miles

I'm getting the telltale driveline shudder when decelerating indicative of a bad engine/transmission mount. During normal acceleration / cruising everything is fine, but at low speed acceleration/deceleration it's noticeable.

I did jack up the car and I can't see any tears or leaks in the rear or passenger side mounts, I haven't torn the intake and battery off yet to inspect the drivers side mount. Is there one of these three that is notorious for needing replacement? I could order and do all 3 but they're not exactly cheap if all 3 don't need to be replaced.

That sounds early for a failed mount. Not something I read about often on the forums. Maybe ask Calisto? He is a seasoned mechanic with a lot of Mazda knowledge.

I'd be leaning towards the same thing, especially with those years & miles in a state like that.

Welcome to the forum.

Your year and miles if it was one of the mounts it would be really rare, unless there were other issues contributing one or more failing.
Because they are in different areas and very each having very different design having more then one fail is also suspect of something else as to the cause of the prematurely failing.

Naturally I would need more information and some good pictures of the mounts area as well the chassis for a better idea and “guess” why ?
If you do replace all the mounts make sure the engine and transmission are in neutral position. While it is not outlined in the service procedure failure to do this when replacing all mounts can cause less the positive results and support the mounts failing prematurely.

It feels almost identical to my 2011 Mazda 3 with a manual transmission when the transmission mount needed replacing. Like I said visually inspecting the two I could see I didn't see any fluid leaks or tears in the rubber, I have done a little towing of a small pop-up camper with this which could have helped contribute I suppose.

Was able to find all three mounts on eBay for $130 so I'll order those and replace them, and I plan on doing a drain and fill of the transmission at the same time. I did that once this summer and got about 3 quarts, so hopefully a second drain and fill will take care of most of the old fluid that was in there.
