I have a 2018 CX-5. A couple of weeks ago (for reasons I cannot explain) my battery went completely dead. Long and short of it- I took it to Mazda and they recharged it and said it was fine (which it has been since). But after the battery died, the windows (one push all the way up/down) didn't work and the power liftgate does not work. I found in the manual how to relearn the windows. Anyone know how to relearn the liftgate? I am hard pressed to believe that this is an electrical problem.

After reading the manual, I don't believe there is a reset for the lift-gate lock as with the power windows. This may be a Can-bus bug that the dealer should help you with. They have the interface and software to look into it. My TPMS monitor got jazzed up once and it took a tech with a laptop to correct it. Shouldn't cost you anything. Otherwise:
