Ok well you are not an audiophile nor Iam guessing pay any kind of instrument? LOL
The BOSE system is design specifically for the precise sound reproduction in the intended platform model. Even in the stereo shops that design complete systems the rear compartments are generally and should be less volume then the front. Look at this way when you go to a live music, concert, show, even in the theatres the primary sound is always in the front.
So the way to totally destroy the sound quality you could lower the volume in the front and adjust the rear speaker's loader or loudest and then adjust your front.
Or you can upgrade your sound system for several hundred dollars by adding a sound-processor, replace the rear speaker for non-BOSE specifications speaker and add a separate amplifier to drive the rear speakers only while still being able to tailer your sound taste in unreal sounding music distribution? . next time don't pay extra for a quality sound system in the vehcle you pick out. LOL

But to be clear there is nothing wrong with your BOSE sound system.

Oh sorry forgot to answer your second question, there is nothing wrong with your Bose Amplifier if you hear sound, it is not distorted and does output sound controlled levels. Which from your information does all it is suppose to?.

I don't know what kind of audio system your car came with so I can only speak based on my experience.
Does your audio system have the selection mode where you can choose from several layers of Bose surround sound?
I ask because if one just fiddles with the front/rear selector and one has the Bose enhancements set low or off, you might get a low volume from the rear.

There are a number of various sound adjustments, including bass, for your Bose System.
If you have not done so, they can be adjusted from the infotainment screen to suite your specific music tastes.
If need be, your owner's manual will explain how to do this.
See the "Audio sound adjustment" page.

The Bose in the 2025 CX-5 Premium Plus is limited in adjustment, fader, balance, treble, bass and centerpoint, if I put the fader all the way to the rear the sound is very weak even if I fully raise volume, also Inam sought of a audophile, cinepro amp, ati amp, b&k pre amp and amp, denon 5700, onkyo, old but quality etc for the comment not an audiophile or play an instrument, play the clarinet.

if you were an audiophile then you should know BOSE systems or at least how and why the rear speakers are set lower volume then front and why that is .
Name dropping auto sound system Componets for both home and auto does not mean much without mentioning the system design.
I f you actually have or had them then you know the basics for building a quality sound system and is the size of you bank account.
I can name drop sound systems Componets as well but at least mine is posted on this forum with pictures .

Honestly dude , I am sure that you are pecky about your personal sound as I am. And that is why my BOSE system is no longer in my Mazda. But to duplicate what I did would cost most about 4-6 thousand dollars .

I play , drums, Acoustic guitar and a few others instruments did the garage band thing once a long long time ago.

I guess if I didn’t mention it I had an Auto stereo shop in the back of my Performance Auto parts store at one time .

While the brands you state that you have are of good quality, that quality is irrelevant if not properly matched to your speakers and professionally dialed in to your home.
As a self-declared "sort of audiophile" you should already be aware that there isn't a sound system in the world that will give you "audiophile" quality in a motor vehicle.
They are not designed for true audiophile reproduction, nor can they accommodate for the number of people, the road conditions, traffic or type weather they are being driven through.
To try and obtain a home audiophile system sound in a vehicle is simply fool's folly.
That said, you could always install a separate amp and woofer system, like my next-door neighbors' kid has in his WRX/STI and bounce down the road
He needs it so he can "feel" his rap music over his Borla exhaust system at peak RPM...

I then I bought my first guitar and amp and grew my hair long.
Played in a band for 19 years after that but we actually got gigs on weekends.
And yes, we did a few Zappa/Mothers covers.
