Default Rain Falls Inside Driver Window

I recently purchased a 2024 Carbon Edition CX-5 and anytime it rains and I have the driver’s window open (say at a drive thru) the rain splashes straight down on the sill and onto the power window buttons. I had a 2018 CX-5 and it did that some but not nearly as much. Has anyone found a good solution for this?

Window deflectors are your best bet.

I don't believe a little bit of water will hurt any parts within the interior, but if you want max protection this rain guard accessory item is available..........

rain guard and wind deflector

Just remember these are wind and rain deflectors and will work well for that purpose. However, the downside is you will get increased noise because of how they deflect the wind around that area of your vehicle. Unfortunately they are not designed to reduce wind noise .

I have the OEM Wind/Rain ones and they work great and don't add more noise than driving the other CX-5s we have throughout the family without them. They are great and work well. However, the OEM sunroof deflector on my car will add a little bit of noise on windy days. It's not bad though.
