My radio won’t cut off when I push the power button to turn it off. I have to turn the car back on pull it into drive then push it really hard into park again then push power button to turn it off. Sometimes I have to do it a few times . HELP

Bit confused by the wording your post.
You cannot shut off the radio, it will only turn off when ignition is off.
When the vehicle is running you can turn down the volume, mute it or switch to the AUX input.

Very common problem with the older CX-5s is the Park position switch wearing out.

For a RHD CX-5, the part number is KDY1-46-040
Not sure if its different for LHD..

I'm starting to see that intermittently as well on my 2014.

Default Shift lever assembly sensor broke, leaving electronics on

The sensor on the shift lever assembly broke and left electronics on. At first my mechanic thought it could be the actuator in the door that turns the electronics on and off after turning out the car then shutting the door. Nope.

Had to replace the entire shift logo assembly to the tune of about $750. After the fix, the radio still occasionally stays on. If I turn the car on, put it into drive and then back into park and jiggle it a bit, it stops the problem. It's probably a little misplaced or loose now.

Ouch! I just dropped mine off at the shop to look at that and a couple of other things.
