Which oil & air filter for 2019 Grand Touring CX-5?
Im looking to buy an oil and air filter for my 2019 CX-5. Any one know what the mazda oil & air filter part numbers are? I know I can just buy fram or whatever but I want something as good as the mazda brand.
I normally use FRAM, K&N AMSOIL, and a few others and they ALL work well based on oil Analisis I have had performed.
I have been using MAZDA OE lately but that is because I purchased a case of 12 for less than 2 bucks a filter.

Otherwise back to FRAM.....etc.!
Air filter for a stock air box I suggest a *K&N. And nothing else!

For some that seem to be K&N haters please be prepared with REAL verifiable facts and where they came from about your comments. . Over the years every negative report and less then accurate or verified information has spread over the internet. Lets try real hard not to start it on this thread. lol
Mazda filters are decent filters but the better filters of any name brand is/would be a step up.
The UG3717 gold colored Fram is currently considered the bench mark of readily available filters.
This number is an oversize from the usual 6607 size asian filter.
As to oil, any good name brand synthetic oil will serve you well.
these days, most all MFGs suggest you use synthetic oil.
My 2¢

The current Mazda recommendations for oil filters are:
1WPE-14-302 For non turbo engine. Made in Mexico.
1WPY-14-302 For Turbo engines. Made in Thailand.
These are Asian Fram 6607 size filters.
The Fram 7317 size filter is the oversize filter.
Fram XG7317 (Gold) is the best commonly available.

Fram oil filters didn't even make the top 5 in any test.
Others put the UG gold Fram at the top of any efficiency list. 99% @ 20 um.

The bottom line is that a filter is just like any other consumer product.
It is only as good as the honesty of the manufacturer's quality control department and any independent entity that reviews it.
And like most manufactured items, you can occasionally get a defective one.
