No More Factory Orders for CX5 Production?
Apologies if this has been asked before but I am a relatively new member to this group.
A UK based Mazda dealer told me this weekend that the Mazda factory are no longer accepting new build orders for the CX5 as it is being discontinued.
As a result, if I want a brand new CX5, my only option is to buy one that is already built and en-route to the UK or one that is already here and not yet sold.
This means that I can't get one to my stated requirements.
Can anyone confirm this position?
Thanks in advance.

They may not be accepting orders for the 2025 model, but not because its been discontinued. The 2026 CX5 is a new model and most likely production will be starting soon, so they are probably gearing up for that process. If you want to customize your new CX5, then you should wait for the 2026 model later this year and then put in your factory order.
Of course, this all presupposes that you are getting the same model in Europe as here is the US. Other, more knowledgeable people on the forum will jump in and let us know if there is another reason, but I believe this is a normal process and not anything dire!
Cheers!

To further add to speedtrap...
It is not being discontinued but it is going to be a new redesign in 2026, including a hybrid.
They are not yet accepting orders for the 2026 which why your dealer said what they did.
The assembly lines are likely being "re-tuned" which is why you can't purchase a 2026 yet and can only order 2025.
Some thought the CX-50 would replace the CX-5, however the CX-5 continues to outsell the CX-50.
And straight from Mazda itself...

Make sure to look into the 2026 model as it will not offer the 2.5T motor (not sure if it was available over the pond anyway?) and the hybrid won't be out until 27. If you don't like a full touchscreen interface with ZERO buttons for the climate controls, etc, you may want to find a 25 at a dealer or in route instead.

I have a 25 model CX5 Exclusive Line on order and already on the boat (I'm told). The only nice to have that I'm missing is the Driver Assistance Pack. I can live without that. My current 2021 CX5 2.0l Sport will be passed on to a family member. Really looking forward to 1st September.
Yes it is. From the sales website - e-SKYACTIV G 2.0 - 165 (121) / 6,000 (ps (Kw)/rpm) Petrol 6-speed Automatic Front Wheel Drive (FWD)
Other options are available.
That is still the old Skyactiv G 2.0 we used to have here. I would have thought they would use the newer tech X motor with more power and efficiency but, then again, they are going to keep using the ancient G 2.5 motor for the next gen car so.....
