New member - brand new CX-5
Greetings all.
A week ago today I bought my first ever brand new vehicle. I've always bought used in the past, as it generally made more sense for me. However, I've done a bit better for myself over the years so decided it was worth forking over the premium to buy new (everyone should get a new car at least once!). 2023 CX-5 Select, Rhodium White, Beige seats. I've owned 2 Jeeps, 1 Nissan, 1 Ford, and 1 Chevy. This is my first Mazda, though my ex wife used to have a 2002 Protege 5.
I had the front windows tinted, got a steering wheel cover, just ordered some Weathertech mats. Tomorrow morning the dealer is installing a hitch on it (for bike rack and to pull my motorcycle trailer).
I'm pretty mechanically inclined and try to do most of my own work (no one will ever change the oil but me). However, being brand new, I don't think I need to do anything to this one for a while. I bought it with 4 miles and it's got about 170 now.
Mostly I'll just lurk and gather what information I can. I'm at a point in my life where I don't need to get 250-300k out of a vehicle anymore. More than anything I want to enjoy the ownership experience. It's not a sport car, but for what it is, I hope to get many years of pleasure out of it. It will stay in the garage when not in use, so should be spared the brunt of the harsh Florida sun other than when I'm at work, which is only 3-4 days per week (hybrid schedule).

Congratulations on your purchase, as you have probably already figured out, you have got yourself a super good, safe and usable car.
At the same time, you have come to the right place for tips and GDS guides.
