I did not read the ingredients of course- What can we use that protects from fading but is safe?

 

OK so I did a quick search and it said Aerospace 303 does not contain alcohol or other distillates
Later I will also check the bottle

 

You can't always read the label mainly because most chemicals suppliers do not show all the ingredients. If you are really interested research a little more. It does have an alcohol substance. I will say I am not sure if this could be considered the normal damaging alcohol like isopropyl alcohol but never the less it is in the alcohol family.
You might also be entertained to know that the main ingredient is water.

Look I have been this route many times on forums for a couple decades... you all tend to use and recommend what you think works for you not realizing the long-term effect some products will have. I am not by any means knocking any brand but simply responding with information what will more or less happen using products containing 2 specific ingredients on some materials. Just remember you can read and I am sure your will many claiming that they used some products for years and nothing ever happened. OK ....but then those people don't have anything to lose if you use something and it does not go as well as with them.

That is also the passenger airbag area.
I have seen slight color differences in some of my vehicles (of all makes) in that area of the dash.
I have never been able to find out if the dash material in that area is actually same thickness.
Maybe someone can enlighten us?

 

Thanks for posting the data. I think that the alcohol ingredient is to give 303 the milky coloring?

Not sure what the thickness would have to do with the effect but that area is also very close to the glass which may be increasing the temperature on the dash? IDK . I may check the temperatures across my dash and see if that theory pans out?
Historically speaking it seems that many dashes tend to deteriorate faster only in some specific areas of the dash. I know that the top of the steering wheels in most vehicles from about 2012 will get notably hotter then many parts of the dash even more so than the area's by the defroster vents. But I suppose that there are multiple influences causing different heat radiation absorptions and reflective heat on the dashboards.
On my personal MAZDA as well a few other vehicles I use a dash cover to protect the dash but more to reduce or stop the visual refection's from the windshield. The black carpet style has always worked the best for me.

 

I took the advice and decided not to use Aerospace 303. I bought a soft brush and Adams Total interior clean, gave a good cleaning, but still couldn't remove the stain.

I was going to accept that discoloration is here to stay but reached out to Mazda customer service after seeing paint chips on the right quarter panel and a deep scratch on the hood. A new car with less than 200 miles should not have so many cosmetics issues.

Yes. It is Soul Red Crystal. I did a quick search after seeing the chips, seems to be a common issue with this color.

My previous CX3 had paintjob done under warranty, - the whole front of the car.

 

Despite the paint chips, I dig the color. I will keep the thread posted if Mazda replies.
