New android auto can't connect without cable

Default New android auto can't connect without cable

Hi there
I had an Android auto put in my cx5 couple of says ago I've connected it with cable but I can't connect with out the cable . Can someone help me please TIA

Android Auto & Apple Carplay in Australia only operates via a USB cable.

really wish I was told that by the mazda guy I wouldn't of bought it. He didn't try and sell it to me I asked for it.
​ I could of just used Bluetooth on the original that was in the car and it would of been pretty much the same as now minus a couple of things

Perhaps if you had asked the Mazda guy if the system worked wirelessly he would have told you that it didn't? I'm fairly certain that he couldn't read your mind....

Again, so strange how some markets offer wireless and some don't. Makes no sense at all. Wouldn't it be cheaper to just offer the same system in all markets?

Back to the OP- you wouldn't buy the CX-5 just because it needs a wire for AA? Seriously? If you need wireless that bad there is a dongle available which will do what you want. It attaches to the USB in the center console.

Of course I would of bought the car. If you read what I wrote I said I wouldn't of bought the Android auto I would of used the original system it came with

he said it would connect automatically. Didn't say mazda dosent do wireless. (I'm in Aus)
Though my girlfriend has a mazda 3 and hers connects straight away.
Anyway its all good I still like having it
