Default New 2016 Mazda CX-5 Owner: which accessories should I get?

Hey all!

I am new to the Mazda family and I just bought a 2016 CX-5. I'm thinking of getting the all weather floormats and the cargo screen. Anything else I should get ? Any reason I shouldn't get the mats and screen? I appreciate the advice and comments!

We just purchased a new CX5 GT yesterday, it is an inbound vehicle and so have to wait a week or week 1/2 to actually take delivery.

The CX5 we have coming has factory rear bumper guard, wasn't sure what that was, but when saw it on another stock unit it is nice looking, looks to prevent scratches on the top of the bumper. The guard is generally an accessory item. Definitely will get the rubber mats, but maybe through Weather Tech if Mazda mats are overly priced. Will get rear cargo area rubber mat as well. Would not mind a remote start (great for winter in colder areas) but not sure if the accessory from Mazda works on the standard remote or not, or if a different remote is required as in after market remotes, need to find out.

A set of aftermarket mats is good as well as getting new seat covers.

Default Roof rails?

I'm trying to make a deal on a 2016 GT and the only car they have here has roof rails which I do not particularly need or like for that matter. I think they kind of ruin the sports car vibe the CX-5 has.. Anyone have them, like them or the way they look. It is mainly my wives car and there will never be a bike or a kayak on top..

I may be going out on a limb, but I actually like the roof rails, and similarly, would never be putting anything up top apart from a large fishing pole that doesn't come apart. The rails my wife and I saw when getting our '16 CX-5 were a nice compliment to the "SUV" nature of the car, and I think they look good on all but a couple colors. But then again, coming from my old '97 RAV4 with the hideous rails about 6" above the roof, not much looks worse!

I had the dealer take them off and put them on another CX-5. I just can't see us using them. I agree that they look pretty good for OEM roof racks.

We actually get our Silver CX 5 GT tomorrow afternoon.
Ours is coming with the roof rails as well, I agree, actually like the look, & have option to add rail accessories whenever needed. Our dealership only had the rail option on 1 out of every 15-20 stock units it seemed, so kind of like the realative uniqueness.

Working at a dealership parts department, most CX - 5 owners purchase the slush mats

2013 Up Mazda CX 5 Cargo Tray Factory OEM New 0000 8D R01 | eBay

cargo cover

These are by far the three most popular accessories for your vehicle. Also navigation if not factory equipped.

slush mats, really??? You might want to consider where your dealership is located before offering this as a response!
