Navigation expired, what the heck?
New to Mazda but have been waiting to be part of this group.
One week ago tomorrow I purchased a Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring with 79,000 from a Chevy dealership 45 mile from home. From my first inquiry my deal breaker was navigation, I was assured it was equipped several times and saw it during the test drive. On the way home at 8:00 pm I turned on the navigation and got the message, ‘your vehicle is does not have navigation…” I contacted sales the next day and got initial reassurance then have been ignored since, I've left text messages and voicemails being understanding and patient, I tried the manage without response and even sent them a picture of the EMPTY SD slot!
Today this 23-year-old sales person told me that (per manager) the navigation has “expired”, and I must go to a Mazda dealer to get it updated and should be no charge as it is standard on the Grand Touring. first I said OK, I will look into that and then came to my senses, no, no, no, I bought a car with navigation and your dealership needs to make it right, not me. The last response from them was that I bought a car from a Bertera (Chevy) inventory but this is a Mazda stock part that they cannot obtain.
Does navigation expire, what do you think is happening and what should I do?
Thank you everyone!
