Default mileage calculation

The computer on my CX-5 that calculates gas mileage seems to give a running reading from when I purchased the vehicle. I am planning a long trip on mostly interstates soon and would like to reset it so I can compute gas mileage on the trip only and not average it in with the ongoing mileage reading which is mostly city driving. Is it possible to reset and if so how? THANKS

Have a good read of your owners manual, depending on which type of instrument cluster you have, once the long term average is displayed, you press & hold the ??? button ( which scrolls thru the different displays) & it should reset the longterm fuel economy reading.
