Default Mazda CX-5 HD Radio Buzzing issue

Hi, the radio on my 2013 Mazda Cx-5 Grand Touring has recently had a buzzing problem. I don't use an ipod or Sirius. I just use the HD radio but I hear a buzzing sound whenever there is no HD radio display. Going back and forth between regular stereo and HD radio has not made a difference. I have driven all over so it does not seem to be based on location. It does not seem to be a speaker problem either. Sometimes the HD radio display works but it is random. I got an appointment to take it in to the service dept to have them look at, and of course, the HD radio was working this AM and there was no buzzing so I cancelled the appt for now.

Any thoughts on what the issue might be or how to troubleshoot? Or should just try to take it in again? 55,000 miles so I have a bit of time left on my warranty
thanks

Sorry to break it to you, but the 60k mile warranty is for drivetrain only. The bumper to bumper part (which would include audio) expires at 36k. You're probably better off taking it to an independent stereo shop.

Thumbs down

Real problem is that Mazda sucks at electronics. My 2014 CX-5 has a so-called HD stereo where the only thing that comes in high definition is static and that's even with strong radio signals. The dealership is a lowlife POS and corporate has been absolutely no help. Wish I had never bought this piece of garbage. Should've stayed with Honda.

So in the mere span of 8 minutes you changed your mind and decided you should have gotten a Forester in a separate post?
