Materials - Outside and Inside
I purchased the 2022 car with the preferred package. I never washed my own car. I use to go through the drive through wash. Now I don't want to do this. I have been reading / watching some videos. My question is: Does anyone know the list of materials and where they are found on the car? I know the question seems silly but some parts do not appear to be plastic on the outside and want to make sure I clean them correctly. Thanks
You can safely use any commercial car wash on the exterior or your car, glass, plastic, metal, or rubber, no problem. You should pick a car wash that does not strip the pervious wax coating, some do some don't. Read the description on the bottle.
Thanks for the information. What about maintaining after washing? What would you recommend to keep the chrome; bumpers etc. looking new. I know I can wax the metal but not so sure on the other pieces
Do not use just any car wash as some of the material on the MAZDA will not do well. Stay with top brand car wash/wax soap. I prefer and buy commercail gallons WASH & WAX-IT PROTECTANT #321. You are in Californis so it easy to get. Contact :
Protectant at 1-800-366-5661.
They can also recommend other PROFESSIONAL cleaners and dressing for various parts of the MAZDA. They supply to detail shop and car washes alll over California.
I recommend their concentrated window cleaner and for all plastics and leather treatment HYPER DRESSING # D170
