Our resident guru says:
My recommendation is to glance at your dash once in a while when you are driving see what is going on with your vehicle. LOL.
Situation is, when driving in heavy traffic, with pedestrians, and bi-cycles, the 'instrument panel can be a distraction'.
The heads-up is great, it could be a bit better.

Well I am not sure who you are talking about now??
Glad its not me this time LOL

I know that when you were taught driving (I hope) that you looked at the big picture, that means part of which is checking the dash gauges at a glance once a while.
Our Arm Forces have concluded that hardest thing pilot had was transitioning from analog gauges that is why there is still many planes that use both and the heads-up display took thousands of hours to perfect its use. So please don't tell me that with a vehicle that so many barely know how to drive and even know about it specification for safe operation can utilize a head up display in a safe manor in the condition you describe safely!

It doesn't matter what YOU consider yourself to be. @ 72 You ARE an "OLD TIMER", over the hill, an old fart, have seen better days, crusty, geriatric, etc., etc.
It is what it is. I've got the impression you don't appreciate being referred to as an "OLD TIMER"
ya ya ya.... lol I am already getting use to being called pappa (grandfather) by my grand kids.. LOL
I have worn glasses when I finally figured out how the parts were able to stay on the walls on my shops.. (peg board ..& joking) I no longer have mid back hiar and I think the wieght of the hair cause that semi bald spot on the top back of my head..etc.etc.etc.

Good for you. Nothing wrong with being an "OLD TIMER".

You can actually make the turn signal louder in the settings. I was surprised to have that as an option, my BMW's turn signal sounds like a truck vs CX-5 has more muffled nicer click, that you can make louder on demand.

Thanks for sharing the picture, it looks really nice. I already ordered the "3D Mats" from Amazon sadly it's taking a long time to get here, but the cargo mat looks really nice. It wasn't cheap but I didn't want to go with Mazda option since it was 4-Piece and could easily leak fluids in between. I had an occasion where water container leaked on our road trip and soaked the cargo area. Luckily we had huge rolls of paper towels too, they soaked up most of the water. So I prefer one piece solid ones, 3D brand looked nice too so I went with that. I wish it was more "non-skid" type like Mazda's but it's fine. I plan to get divider/organizer so things don't move around much.

I guess an add on gadget to obtain individual tire pressure is better than the old, old fashion manual psi checker. Again ......I have to give Mazda another "Shame On You" for not adding it the CX-5 model year 2023.

Agree with Dennis about WeatherTech. We pick up our 3rd CX5 tomorrow (2023 Turbo) & I've already taken all the floor matts and cargo tray out of the 2020 that we're turning in (we lease). I can't say enough good things about how nice their products are and how well they fit! (like a glove).
And if your Turbo didn't come with the retractable cargo privacy screen, be sure to get one! If you don't have one, don't buy it from Mazda ($250), but get it online as you'll save $$$!
