Thanks for the mention of you using REDLINE....

For clarification on my responses.....

Maybe I was not clear with my responses about some strut supports...? I never said the cheapies would not work but the term "working perfectly" really does not fundamentally fit their design in manufacturing. Specifically, all the internal parts! THEY WILL FAIL it is not even a guess and when those cheapies fail it is most of the time suddenly without advance indicators So right now you can say you have them, and they work perfectly. I understand people on forum wanting to believe what they spent their money on is not going to go bad. In this case having to do with many struts on the market it is a well-known fact at least in the performance industry that the cheap ones will all go bad. The quality ones are not impervious to going bad however what is inside them and how they are manufactured tends to make them a long-term better investment. This is also why I asked for the serial or product # on the main body. The cheapies won't have one for good reason. Some of you that are really great at researching information on the internet can quickly find out why! Again it is why I keep posting NOT to waste time with low quality struts and especially some that are manufactured in serveral countries with no real main brick and mortar business only a warehouse that distributes their products directly and via many unauthorized sellers. Which that means you buy from 2nd and 3rd parties and when you have a problem good luck getting it handled!

You all that claim the struts you have are in perfect order.... try this... pull them off your hood and with one in each hand fully extended (verify be comparing both together that they are the same length if not there is clue one) push down and completely collapsed them. Then simultaneously let them go and watch what happens. That may be clue 2. Listen for any sound like bubbles or squeaks or scraping noise that would be clue 3. Then Examine the shafts and see if there is more oil one comparing the other. This would be a small film of lubricant almost hard to even tell if there is any. The shafts should be almost dry to touch with not marring. Clue 4. Then let's see if you continue to post they are in perfect working order.

There are few companies even here in the US that a few of you can contact and please pass them this thread info if you like you can even quote me alone. I would love to have you post what they say! . I have used a few of them for my own projects as well "kits' I have engineered and needed a quality strut to do an exact job and have exact specifications (not just extended and collapsed measurements) for a needed project. The last product my company offered having to do with struts was an engine movement torque limiter for a specific BMW model.

My comments about it working perfectly reference my trunk lid (which with the OEM struts was simply falling closed when released) and now with the aftermarket struts (which have been on for 3-4 years now) the trunk operates as it did with the OEM struts. Lid stays open until I pull it closed. The circa 2006 OEM hood struts are still working fine which is pretty impressive to me. The trunk was opened/closed a lot more frequently so it isn't surprising those struts failed more quickly.

I've fitted eBay struts to my Mazda3 and CX-5. No issues what so ever.

I also fitted eBay struts that were specifically made for my CX-5 and have seen no issues as of yet.
I find eBay products no different than any other online website in that it depends on whom you purchase from as to what you get for product quality.

Guess you didn't notice the two posts after yours who supported my findings.... LOL...

Not sure what you mean about "ignoring" my posts. I get plenty of feedback on my posts on the forums I frequent..

So, no wireless android auto, then..
Trying to break the tension. 🧐

By the way, Received my Viofo 119 dashcam and Samsung endurance 128GB MicroSD card.
I should have ordered the cargo mat as well, but the reviews of the ones I found were not that great. So thinking about going with this, although I wanted the carpeted type: https://smile.amazon.com/Genuine-Maz.../dp/B09SVR1PC8
or just go with previously recommended because I just realized Mazda OEM one is separate pieces, not just one piece. smile.amazon.com/YITAMOTOR-Compatible-2017-2021-Weather-Protection/dp/B0948TY1MN

Ya... I just hate when DIY or members in general post guesses without at least having done it personally or recommending a procedure without verifying all information. It really is not that difficult these days. Took me about 2 minutes on Mazda OEM Parts. In this case I already did instead of assuming anything and responding because your year Mazda and model is different than mine
If I ran the shop(s) by guessing, we would be out of business in short time.

Having done the debagging (on actually a few vehicles not just Mazda I have owned) I also went a few steps further... I also removed the bumper cover; plastic welded the can-opener slots for the reflectors and also the tow-hook hole for a cleaner rear appearance.

You are doing some nice personal upgrades!
You may also look into a leather steering wheel cover the type you lace up. This will not only protect the factory steering wheel but will also give you a nicer feel.

Huh? I am not guessing about anything. I posted info from MY OWN PERSONAL EXPERIENCE in using aftermarket struts. Two other members chimed in and said the same thing about using aftermarket parts with no issues. This isn't "guessing". It can't get any more personal than having used it on my own car....

Boy you just cant let things go. Go get the serial number on the main body. Let me try to figure out what cheap struts you have.? LOL
As I mentioned I have direct connection with a few strut brands that engineer struts for specify usages as well can make custom struts. I am sure that your struts are a single stage strut which on any hood or truck is a POS will fail and may do damage to the hood? The serial number should prove that one way or another. So, post yours let's see whatcha got? LOL, Again I say just because you have not had a problem only means that you don't use the strut enough yet or have not compared the 2 as I described for a service value to see if one is failing or that they are evenly matched? Now make sure you keep posting on this subject that is already run its coarse on this thread. I personally enjoy responding to member that don't understand how things truly work in hopes to better informa them. LOL

Ok I suspect the excuses will follow this member on the next post! LOL
