Hi everyone! Wanted to get some advice for a diy of the dashboard vinyl. Bought a semi new car and when it’s sunny, I can see all these white scuffs and scratches on the glovebox and door plastic and top of dashboard area. Wanted to spray paint, but not sure what color and where to get a color matching one for Mazdas interior. Is duplicator vinyl and fabric paint similar to it in “black-flat” color? Or any recommendations. I don’t want to use a heat gun, everyone says not to. Thank you, appreciate any suggestions and advice

 

If you are going this way for an inexpensive repair to improve the worn look, use only paint that is labeled for painting vinyl and fabric. They do actually work very well if the prep work is meticulously done. They do not wear well on high wear impact area's so keep that in mind.

There are no companies I am aware of that has duplicolor automotive interior color match rattle can paints. Although I would say unlikely you can check with local body paint suppliers some offers touch up paint mixed and placed in a rattle can for you and see if they have the formulas for vinyl paint and can mix one up and place it in a rattle can.
