Ignition Coils question - 2019 Cx5 Touring 62k miles
Hi all,
I'm gearing up to change my spark plugs within the next few thousand miles and wanted to ask about timing of ignition Coils. When should I replace them? At 70k with the plugs?
Any one have any comments or experience about cylinder activation/deactivation when selecting the replacements? It's a little unclear which route to go. Seems like cylinder activ Screen shot from google search
ation is the way to go, but i don't quite have a grasp on what the differences are.
Personally, I'm still running the originals on my car (turbo w/ 52k miles) and my girlfriend's car (non-turbo w/ around 70k miles). If you can get quality new ones cheap then it won't hurt, but they're like $100+ each from what I recall seeing. I just put dielectric grease inside the bottom of the plug boots before sliding them over the new plugs.
There really is no better best and bad quality aftermarket coils . I won’t give the leng.y reason this is a myth. However I always recommend to use a manufacturer that has been around for least the 1980s or older.
If you have a specific one in mind post the brand name and I will tell you yay or nay on getting them .
AND YES I would have the most experience on this four about a part to use or not use
